Artemis Emslie

CEO & PRESIDENT

Artemis Emslie brings more than 25 years of experience across workers’ compensation and group health, offering a multi-dimensional perspective on the complex challenges facing pharmacy benefit management (PBM) clients.

She is the CEO of Cadence Rx, a next-generation, patient-first PBM platform built to elevate the injured worker experience. By applying smart technology and data-driven insights, Cadence Rx helps clients improve clinical outcomes, streamline decisions, and reduce total claim costs.

Previously, Artemis served as CEO of myMatrixx, where she led the company’s strategic growth and guided its successful sale to Express Scripts in 2017. Under her leadership, revenues and profitability grew more than 50%, client concentration risk was reduced, and the company expanded from a regional player to a leading national PBM—all while fostering a culture that attracted and retained top talent.

Her career also includes senior leadership roles with multiple organizations and the launch of ProspeRx Solutions, an auditing and consulting firm for workers’ compensation insurers that specialized in PBM claims auditing, RFP management, and advisory services for blue-chip clients.

Artemis is the founder of the Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation, a nonprofit think tank dedicated to mentoring future leaders and advancing ideas that move the industry forward. She currently serves on the boards of Paradigm Outcomes and Adelphi Trust Company, and on the advisory board of Ametros.

Recognized as a thought leader, Artemis is a frequent national speaker on drug trends and best practices in PBM. Her contributions to the industry have been honored with Business Insurance’s Women to Watch, WorkCompCentral’s Comp Laude Leadership Award, and the President’s Honor Roll Award.
