Emily has devoted 7 years of her career to workers’ compensation, the last 3 being specific to PBM. After receiving her Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of Florida, graduating in the spring of 2012. After graduation, Emily completed a post-graduate year 1 (PGY1) residency at Tampa General Hospital, graduating from the program in the Summer of 2013.
Transitioning from residency, Emily received an opportunity to work as a Clinical Pharmacist at PMSI (now Optum Workers’ Compensation), writing Medication Reviews and Drug Testing Result Reviews to support the organization’s clinical programs. In 2016, Emily transitioned into a new role as a Clinical Pharmacist Liaison, working closely with Account Management, Reporting, and Operational teams to provide the best solutions and services to clients. During her time as a Liaison, Emily found herself often scrutinizing client data, looking for opportunities to evaluate the customer’s programs, provide insights and recommendations, and move ultimately help move the customer’s programs forward. As a result of being in the Liaison role, Emily worked closely with the Optum Enterprise Reporting and Analytics team, which recruited her into a role within the broader Optum organization. Emily became a Director of Pharmacy Reporting in 2017, going on to lead a team of 17 analysts, both domestic and international, specializing in solutioning innovative reporting products to meet the needs of the organization and its customers.
Most recently, Emily took the opportunity to join the CadenceRx team as SVP of Business Intelligence and is thoroughly enjoying the challenges of building a new company (and reporting solutions) from the ground up.
